A Full-day Private Tour to Hue Itinerary:
- Our drivers and local besties will meet and greet you in your hotel lobby. It takes around 3 hours to reach Hue by car, so we recommend starting the tour early, ideally at 7.30 a.m.
- We will drive over the stunning Hai Van Pass – which was praised as “a deserted ribbon of perfection, one of the best coast roads in the world” by the BBC’s “Top Gear.”
At the end of Hai Van Pass, we’ll stop at Lang Co – a poetic bay where locals raise oysters. Spend some minutes beholding the beauty of Lang Co Bay then continue on to Hue.
Upon arrival, start our private tour with a visit to Khai Dinh Tomb – a unique French-influenced tomb with a perfect combination of Vietnamese philosophy in architecture.
Next, our intriguing journey continues with a visit to the Imperial City, including the Purple Forbidden City, royal palace, and shrines. Wander through the typical red and golden corridors while our local bestie shares with you secrets and thrilling stories about life in the Citadel at that time.
- After enjoying lunch, we’ll head to the renowned Thien Mu Buddhist temple located along the iconic Perfume River. Here, you can find the displayed Austin Westminster car, in which the Burning Monk Thich Quang Duc used to drive to Saigon in 1963 to protect Buddhists from the persecution of Ngo Dinh Diem.
- The tour won’t be completed if missing a visit to Dong Ba market – an awesome spot to sample local snacks and observe the colorful daily life of local people.
