My Son Sanctuary and Hoi An Private Tour Itinerary:
- Our drivers and local besties will meet and greet you in your hotel lobby in Da Nang or Hoi An.
Note: If you want us to pick you up at another place other than your hotel, please let us know in advance.
- Upon arrival at the site, we walk to the My Son Museum – where our local bestie will give you the background information about the site, i.e, the ancient Champa kingdom, the Cham temples, etc.
- Next, we enjoy a 5-minute buggy ride and a short walk to the site. Along the way, you can enjoy the tranquility of the jungle, the iconic pyramid shape of Cat’s Tooth mountain, and a variety of colorful butterflies.
Our local bestie will guide you through the temples and show you the carved bricks put together to hold up the temples without any mortar or glue!
Don’t be freaked out when you see many giant bomb craters, statues with heads missing, or temples that need an iron frame to prevent themselves from falling apart.
- A 15-minute cultural show of Champa songs & dances will be a special treat for this tour.
- After visiting all temple groups and taking great photos, we walk back to the buggy stop, wave goodbye to My Son, and drive you to the boat stop to reach our second destination – Hoi An.
- Next, the tour continues with a visit to Hoi An ancient town. Ramble through historic merchant houses, Japanese Covered Bridge, and Chinese temples while our local bestie will share with you interesting stories about the town and local habits here.
- Don’t forget to buy lovely souvenirs for your relatives and friends as Hoi An is heaven for shoppers with skillful tailors and custom-made leather shops.
- It’s highly recommended to stay in Hoi An until night to see the town color itself with a sea of beautiful lanterns. You can sit down in a rooftop restaurant, have your dinner and enjoy the serene vibe of the town at the same time.
