One hour from Da Nang and 45 minutes from Hoi An by car, My Son Sanctuary – a grand complex of centuries-old impressive Cham temples humbly hides deep inside the remote sumptuous jungle of Quang Nam province.
Recognized as a Word Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999, My Son Sanctuary boasts an ancient vibe with a dozen mysteries about temple-building and brick-making techniques that still pose a tricky question to scientists all around the world.
On this My Son Sanctuary private tour, our local besties will
- Walk you through different groups of temples
- Share with you the historical background of the ancient Champa Kingdom
- Give you a clear picture of the relationship between the Cham and Viet
- Spell out the architecture and purposes of each Hindu temple/tower
- Explain how My Son temple complex survived after the war
And most importantly, take great photos for you – our dear friends!
Due to some similarities in architecture and religious influence, people often compare My Son with Angkor Wat and call My Son “The Mini Version of AngkorWat.” But guys, as a local who loves My Son with all my heart and soul, trust me, My Son with its own charm, beauty, and unique characteristics will definitely be worth your visit!
